Since 2023 – Volunteers assisting the homeless in the centre of Athens, particularly by offering health services

From the start, it was realized that there was a pressing need, particularly in the city of Athens, to intervene and assist the most vulnerable, those who are often forgotten. Embassy staff, along with volunteers recruited in Athens, promptly identified the homeless and drug addicts as individuals requiring aid. Initially, this assistance took the form of medical aid, with medical and nursing volunteers supported by other organizations already operating in the area. Later, the initiative evolved to operate independently, aiming to bring the compassion and support of the Sovereign Order to all encountered on the streets of Athens at night.

Currently, volunteers undertake weekly outings, and we are actively working to expand and implement our services throughout Athens and Greece as a whole.
